Analysis was performed by two-way ANOVA for repeated measures.With regard to saliva HBD-2, there were significant main effects of time (all four variables; P<0.001) and of session (concentration, secretion ratio; P<0.001, osmolalityratio; P=0.007 and protein ratio; P=0.014) and the time×session interaction effect (all four variables; P<0.001). Similarly, significant main effects of time (P<0.001) andsession (P<0.001) and the time×session interaction effect (P<0.001) were observed for all four variables of saliva LL-37 levels.In contrast to the transient rise in saliva HBD-2 and LL-37, all the measures of saliva IgA significantly decreased after exercise session, as indicated by significant maineffect of time (concentration; P=0.007, secretion ratio; P=0.022 and protein ratio; P=0.019), of session (concentration; P=0.015, secretion ratio; P=0.026, osmolality ratio;P=0.037 and protein ratio; P=0.002), and the time×session interaction effect (concentration; P=0.003, secretion ratio; P=0.011, osmolality ratio; P=0.009 and proteinratio; P=0.037).*P<0.05, **P<0.01, ***P<0.001; resting vs. exercise session.†P<0.05,††P<0.01,†††P<0.001; vs. t=0.? 233 ?
